Dissemination of project findings

Besides the reports available from the project workpackages, we have been and will continue to be disseminating the findings in a wide variety of ways over the next couple of years, including feedback to employers, policymakers and the EU, and through articles and papers at academic and stakeholder conferences and seminars.

We aim to present on three levels:

International – most of all, Europe and the global world,
National – in each country,
Local – in the communities where our case studies are being conducted

Three groups are targeted for dissemination of the project findings:

Policy makers – those involved in social and family policy, labour market regulation, non-discrimination and gender equality policies,
Civil society – employers’ associations, trade unions, youth NGOs, women’s and parents’ organisations, the general public,
Academic community – researchers, lecturers, students and experts.

Members of the Transitions team have been presenting various papers based on the Phase 1 and 2 findings in the coming year.

Conferences where Transitions papers and symposia have been presented in 2005 include:

  • The Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Los Angeles, April 2005
  • Gender, Work and Organization Conference, Keele, UK, June 2005.
  • International conference of work and family, Inaugural meeting. Barcelona, Spain. July 2005

The Transitions team will continue to publish articles in journals and chapters in books in the coming months, based on the study and its findings. A flyer for a soon to be published book on the organisational case studies can be downloaded here.

Further details of the dissemination of TRANSITIONS finding can be found in our final Dissemination Report.
