The objectives of the Work-Life Research Centre
are to:
- provide a forum for the exchange
of information, research findings, experience, perspectives and practices
across a variety of audiences, in Britain and abroad, including researchers,
practitioners, trainers, policy-makers and other groups interested
in work-life issues and socially sustainable work.
- undertake leading edge research to increase understanding
and stimulate critical thinking about the relationships between employment,
care, family, leisure and community;
- influence and respond to current
policy debates relating to work–life issues
- promote action research working with organisations
promoting the dual agenda of work-life integration and workplace effectiveness

- encourage post graduate activity in the field- to
develop the new generation of work-life researchers
